I recently bought an xbox 360, and being a cricket fan started playing IC-2010. I have hardly played some matches, all single player mode. i have a laptop as well, & have played Ashes 2009 on it. IC-2010 is definetly an improvement over Ashes, 2009 which was hardly enjoyable.
Leaving aside the graphics, which i believe are good if u have an LCD or an LED & player names, the most important aspect of a game is its game play & i personally believe International Cricket,2010 does not dissappoint. A lot of Game mode options are available & u can play custom tournaments, which u could not do in Ashes 2009. You can play a tournament similar to IPL with teams like Aces,Thunder,Devils etc etc... which is definetly fun. You can play ODI's of minimum 5 overs till 50 overs, & ofcourse Test Matches.
The best thing about this game is, it is not easy to master this cricket game. You need to spend a lot of time playing & getting adapted to the small nuances of this game. The AI/Computer opponent is very aggressive & tough to beat. Once a batsman crosses 40 runs, he will be so confident that he will whack almost each & every delivery. Its very irritating to c full deliveries being square cut to third man for six, but even u can do the same while batting, so it all evens out in the end. There a lot of bowling options & spinners have a role to play as compared to Ashes,09. Its fun to ball arm balls, doosra, sliders. I have played all cricket games, but i hv enjoyed bowling in this game & have not simulated my overs or bowling innings. Batting is fun, as u hv to step on the paddle & score runs quickly, s at d back of ur mind u knw that the AI is very aggresive & will chase down any target.
U need some time to get accustomed to the action cam, i haven't spent much time doing that yet, & will do it in near future when i start playing some test matches. Hope my review is meaningful ,as this is the first time im stating my views on a forum. Thanks
