![]() | So For playing a cricket game is just pressing the button and wait for the AI to react for the button you pressed. But i think it should be more than that, The player should feel that he is playing the game. This can be achieved by proper controls and ideas. So i had lot of ideas regarding them will show case the best i got in this thread. Generally a meter called "PUSH" should be there for the bowling team. it increases when best bowling/fielding is done. First Catching : Consider a circle around the fielder "the catching circle". as shown this circle is not visible to the player. ![]() and a bar appears and buttons run along the black bar as shown. The player should press it correctly with in the hit zone. ![]() when the ball is at the easy circle - Player as to press two buttons correctly. when the ball is at the medium circle - Player as to press three buttons correctly. when the ball is at the medium circle - Player as to press four buttons correctly. So now the push meter comes into play if the Push meter is full and the player misses are wronly pressed the button while catching. Then he can use the push button so that the fielder completes the catch successfully but remember its available only when the push meter is full. And atlast the Try circle when the ball is at the try circle and the push meter is full a flashy text TRY comes on the screen. so if you want you can try for the catch but you will empty the push meter and if you pressed the push then the 4 button press(like hardcircle catch) is activated. if you complete the combo successfully then a extra-ordinary catching will be done by the bowler. ![]() | as I said this would be liked by hardcore cricket fans...but not all would like to have this much of control...most play for fun...hence I mentioned this should be an additional option (if it has to be)

| Administrator | I completely agree with Gourav. Actually, we don't have to much deal with controls of these small things. I'll prefer automatic catching like in Cricket 07 or older EA cricket games. Or another way could be "hitting the spot in the bar" like in EA Cricket 10 mobile. |

![]() | Having said that...I would not say that we would not be doing. We got to evaluate if this specific idea can make it to V1 of the game. Please do pour in simillarly rich ideas. We are looking for these. Its just that we might not be able to accomodate all.

![]() | The below post is in my point of view sorry if i am wrong Hitting a button at the hitspot while its moving doesn't feel difficult to me any gamer could do that i think. If we(the player) drops the catch by wrongly pressing the button rather then AI automatically dropping the catch. He get angry on him not on the AI as we have in all the other cricket gaming out there(some exceptional) and complain the AI mechanism. Everything has a little challenge in playing example batting, bowling etc.. why not the fielding have it too. Consider This - A good playing and well settled batsman played a shot and we took the catch with the "try" option as the controls explained above with a stunning animation which will be the turning point in the match. there is were we feel that satisfaction and enjoyment of the game rather than AI automatically picking it up. The single player games like god of war, heavenly sword etc.. has this type of sequence in boss fight were the the player feel he had defeated the boss. |

![]() | As I had mentioned earlier, this specific idea is a valid one and interesting too. All I am saying is that whether it would make it in the V1 or not, we will have to take a call later on. Same applies to every aspect of the game..
