i hope the online play is region free as well...what about download contents of Ashes (if any in future)?...can we download that from a US playstation store?

Thank you for submitting your recent request to Codemasters Customer Services concerning Ashes Cricket 2009.

Ashes Cricket 2009 will not be released in North America unfortunately. The UK version of the game should work on a North American console, but we are unable to guarantee perfect compatibility unfortunately. The PC version will work fine on any compatible PC.

However I am afraid that Codemasters does not deliver the game to North America.

i think they mean the online play would be region locked...now i am unsure if i buy ashes cricket for my US based ps3..ya they probably wont deliver the game...but you can always order from ebay or from other websites

They mean that the game will not be released for North America but there is a chance that UK version might work on North American console however there are not sure about it.

I will suggest you guys to wait until someone buys and confirms and post here in this forum. That may help you. I know you guys are too excited about AC2009 but patience is a key to success.

emailed them back and this is what i got:

If you play using HD (High Definition) then you should have no problems, but otherwise you may have display issues as the game is PAL only (not HTSC).

and yea ill prob wait to see if some one buys its on PAL and play it on NTSC console and how it goes....

Seems to be weird. They probably mean that game might not be properly compatible with the North American console.

do they mean playing it on high def tv with cables tht come with 360.......because i jst play it on regular tv

oh thats good because i play on HDTV..so i assume i should have no problem playing the game

so mad at myself first i bought Wii to be able to play AC 2009 then returned and bought 360 as i found out after researching for it to work in N America........now according to their mail i have to play the game on HD settings on 360 for the game to workk....so what buy a new tv now...wtf!!!
