Any website, where I can buy Ashes CRicekt 2009 games for Xbox 360 and have it paid i - Page 3

Question in topic. I'm still not convinced and completely sure if I buy a UK or Indian copy of the game online for my North American 360 it will work. So what do you guys think purchase it online and take the risk or wait and see if there's a North American release for 360 which I heard was doubtful.

ive been on this topic trying to find answer for the last 3 weeks( since i have same problem like you), even talked with codies....and they are not releasing the game in N. America for sure atleast not on 360 for sure.

But I do knw according to their mail tht the PAL version will work on NTSC console if you play it on high def for sure.

My best bet is to wait till game is released and someone in N.America takes the risk of getting it from Uk and seeing if it works OR just play the game on HD from the PAL version.

Yeah I'm guessing our best bet is to wait until the game in-self comes out and have someone approve whether it works on our NTSC 360's or not. It's very hard to find answers especially if the makers and company which sponsored the game can't give definite answers so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I just got new mail which was very disappointing for me:

We are contacting you again as we may have issued incorrect advice regarding Ashes Cricket 2009 in our previous emails. To confirm: only the PC and PS3 versions of the game are region-free and will work on any console. The Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii versions are region locked and will only work on PAL consoles.

Apologies for the previous mis-information. We hope that this now clarifies the situation.

If this is so that it's really sad for Wii and 360 users. Great news for PS3 users.

yea man i knw and it sucks big time....I could not stop myself from asking them abt their future plans and this was their reply:

Unfortunately we cannot confirm any plans, at the moment, to release Ashes Cricket 2009 on the NTSC format. We do not rule out doing a NTSC version, but this will not be in the immediate future.

(My last option, and i really dont like it but thinking abt it is to Mod my brand new 360 or Wii)
